Washington Irving. He was born today (more or less), on April the 3rd 1783. We all know at least one of his works, which is The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, thanks to the great movie directed by (his majesty) Tim Burton, who took insipiration from the American writer's short story, first published in 1820.
